Xinjiang Urumqi International Bazaar is jointly invested and constructed by Hongjing Group and Land Investment (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. The International Grand Bazaar, which integrates the five major business formats of tourism, national commerce and trade, catering, national art exhibition, and retail, has many business projects, and its scale is spectacular. You can find virtually everything including men’s and women’s clothing, children’s clothing, ethnic and sports and leisure series of clothing, shoes, hats, etc. In addition, you can also find carpets, leather goods, knives, musical instruments, pottery and gold, silver, copper and iron handicrafts, etc. as well as boutique department stores, cosmetics , all kinds of dried fruit, special food, leisure and entertainment items. 

Urumqi International Bazaar was established on June 26, 2003. It is the largest bazaar in the world (Uyghur, meaning market, farmers market). It integrates Islamic culture, architecture, ethnic commerce, entertainment, and catering. It is the largest bazaar in Xinjiang. The gathering place and exhibition center of tourism products are “Window of Xinjiang”, “Window of Central Asia” and “Window of the World”. In 2004, it was selected as one of the “Top Ten Architectures” in Urumqi. It has a strong Islamic architectural style.

The International Grand Bazaar covers an area of ​​39,888 square meters, with a total construction area of ​​100,000 square meters. Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is a symbol of the prosperity of business and tourism in Xinjiang. It is also a landscape architecture of Urumqi as a minority city. “Bazaar” means “market” and “bazaar” in Arabic. In countries and regions that believe in Islam, the scale of “bazaar” is an important symbol of local economic development and market prosperity. 

Previously, the largest “bazaar” in the world was the Istanbul Grand Bazaar in the Republic of Turkey, while the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar has a construction area of ​​nearly 100,000 square meters, with 3,000 ethnic handicraft shops, a 3,000-square-meter square, and a dining hall that can accommodate 1,000 people. It has an ethnic banquet hall, an 80-meter-high sightseeing tower, a magnificent mosque, as many as 55 commercial elevators and escalators. It’s not only 9,000 square meters more than Istanbul Grand Bazaar, but also has many more hardware facilities and cultural atmosphere than Istanbul Grand Bazaar.

The International Grand Bazaar consists of six buildings. In terms of architectural style, the most essential and vital factors are used accurately, and the main color is earthy yellow, which integrates the architectural factors of Greece, ancient Rome, West Asia and Central Asia, making it one of the landmark buildings in Urumqi. It integrates Islamic culture, architecture, and ethnic commerce and trade. It is a gathering place and exhibition center for Xinjiang tourism products.
